Ridley Scott, Prometheus and Post-Modern Theories of Evolution

The “Alien” franchise is huge and, despite the ill-advised “AVP” spin-offs, has always been a guaranteed ‘bums on seats’ phenomenon in the movie industry. This Year, Ridley Scott will be returning to the space-horror genre that first made him a household name – with the release of “Prometheus”. The film will be dealing with a subject that is far reaching in the truth community – the idea of extra-terrestrial involvement in the creation / evolution of humanity, genetic manipulation and terraforming.

Despite the feverish levels of secrecy surrounding the film, Scott has been open about one aspect: the inspiration behind the story. “It’s the story of creation, the gods and the man who stood against them…  NASA and the Vatican agree that [it is] almost mathematically impossible that we can be where we are today without there being a little help along the way... That’s what we’re looking at (in the film), at some of Erich von Däniken’s ideas of how did we humans come about.”

The Greek mythology of Prometheus – who was cursed after stealing fire from the gods to give to mankind – has not escaped the attention of many and set internet forums alight. Is there something deeper going on with this film? From the poster artwork of the possible ‘all-seeing eye’ (also an ancient monument), to the similarity between the alien race (glimpse in the first “Alien” movie and christened the “Space Jockey”) and the various images of alleged “Nephilim” remains, discussion and speculation has posed the question: Is “Prometheus” trying to tell us (or mislead us about) something? Why this particular subject? And why now?

The idea that “Prometheus” could be an exercise in public perception might be considered a coincidence or ‘flight of fancy’. However it is based around three central notions that have a basis in fact:

  1. That the mainstream media lies, misleads and manipulates public opinion
  2. That the mainstream media is intricately involved with clandestine programs of perception management and psychological control
  3. That there has been a (very) longstanding doctrine of misinformation regarding the existence of creatures in Earth’s past (in varying forms) that are either:
  • Terrestrial in origin and are no longer apparent in nature (or “natural” anyway)
  • Or non-Terrestrial in origin
In relation to the film industry, it is extensively documented that Hollywood has forged deals of convenience with the military, intelligence agencies and NASA in order to produce any number of films. Whilst these arrangements have been made to procure assets (vehicles, soldiers, bases, technical expertise, etc.), it seems that the price of these deals usually involves said agencies having a lengthy say in the nature of the production’s scripts. Changes are made in order to seal the deal and usually involve casting the agencies “in a wholly respectable light with nothing but good intentions.” PR exercises, in other words.

A curious result of these changes, often involves the re-writing of a period of history. It may involve an individual (ironically, see: “Black Hawk Down” – Ridley Scott) or a specific event (a good example would be “Windtalkers”), that results in the Cinema going public exiting the theatre with a misaligned perception of a fact based event. This is the unavoidable nature of the “magic” of film (Hollywood = Holy Wood = Magic Wand…), however it is troubling when it relates to historical accuracy. It is a job well done, when individuals decide to base their entire historical knowledge on a media drip feed and never bother to research further. Of course, for many people, this is an accepted practice.

The use of the media as a perception filter (and a tool of PR) is an old tale. It dates back through countless civilisations and has certainly blossomed in the last hundred years through the accessibility of radio, film, television and aspects of the internet. The early work of The Tavistock Institute and associated profiteers of perception (such as Edward Bernays) is a testament to its effectiveness. The Radio Research Project and the programmed radio broadcast: “War of the Worlds”, showed how a simple exercise could be so successfully applied to a malleable public. Many will so say that it could never be so worthwhile today, simply because people are not that naïve anymore! This might well be true if it represented the total extent of the practice.

The damning truth of such affairs goes much deeper though. The study of psychology and social science is part of the bedrock of modern civilisation. It is integral to the effective functioning of industry, business, finance, governing bodies, the military, etc. An organisation’s mere existence rests exclusively with the ability to predict, steer or (dare I say) control public opinion and demand. The media is the machine that drives this process.

Further still, one must consider projects like Bluebird, Arti-choke, Chatter, MKDelta, MKUltra, etc. I could write extensively here about these projects, the evidence for their existence, the depths of the research and experiments, and the implications therein. The evidence is readily available for anybody prepared to take the time to look at it. In relation to this particular subject, there is an almost invisible line that continually associates these and other on-going projects with the media sector. With this in mind, the implications become all too clear…

We live in troubling times and the program of mass manipulation, through such forms, is in full swing. Countless people will accept the fed idea of an international bogeyman, looming catastrophe or terrorist plot without question. They will accept the laws, rules and mandates created to keep order and keep them safe. They will fixatedly stare at their respective screens of ‘knowledge’ and ‘life style suggestions’, turn it off at the end of the day, tuck themselves safely into bed and count sheep…

At such times, others look outward for meaning. It is then that many ask about the nature of existence, our origins, the hidden secrets of energy and suppressed technology and the possibility of an untaught (at least in academia) terrestrial timeline.

With regard to the latter, there is a problem with the vilification of existing source material. It seems that anybody who poses an alternative theory of evolution (or, heaven forbid, an intervention theory) is considered a crackpot! The subject has become a hotbed of controversy and debate. You could read pages of literature and truly feel that you had stumbled onto something significant, only to suddenly find an opaque undercurrent of religious dogmatism. In no time you would read phrases like “the Anti-Christ” and “The Rapture” and realise that you had been hoodwinked!

This has happened to me once or twice and infuriates me. I know what to discard at this point, but do I throw the baby out with the bathwater?! There could be one crucial nugget hidden within the rest of the garbage. I’ve now increased my workload by a factor of ten, if I want to find more credible references elsewhere. All this is thanks to a totally irresponsible “researcher” and all the other people that refer to the original source.  Incidentally, this happens a lot in truth research in general. My crap detector is pretty damn good these days, but it doesn’t help those who’ve just started to realise the bigger picture and want to learn more. For all the good it does, I implore those responsible to STOP IT!!

It is not in the least bit surprising that the subject can be steered so effectively. Erich von Däniken and Zecharia Sitchin are consigned by many to the science fiction, bargain bin, references to the curious creatures in the Dead Sea Scrolls, The Book of Enoch, Jared, etc., are dismissed as religious extremism, and so on. The association is tangled and unfortunate because it does appear that there may very well be some truths within the material.

That said… the evidence is not entirely that of mystical leanings and historical speculation. There is an abundance of ancient texts, glyphs, cave drawings and stone carvings that refer to creatures and races that don’t appear on the Earth today. They also show the possible existence of advanced technology and methods being employed by said beings.  The references are numerous and (despite the circulation of forgeries that taint the validity of the genuine articles) remain a fascinating source of research.

Then we have the discovery of artefacts (specifically bones) that don’t fit with Darwinian (and certainly Creationist!) theory. There are a sizeable number of huge bones that some suggest are remnants of an oft-referred species labelled The Nephilim. These relics have been photographed, catalogued and studied to various degrees of authenticity. As before, fakery is also rife and taints the study somewhat.

Finally there is the work of Lloyd Pye and the Starchild Skull to consider. I personally find his work to be one of the most credible and tirelessly researched sources on the subject, largely because of the process of investigation that he has utilised. The work also poses the intriguing hypothesis that there may be a degree of genetic intervention at some point in our evolution. It may also be possible to suggest that such intervention was non-terrestrial in nature. If such a theory were proved to be even remotely true, the implications for humanity would be unimaginable. Such a realisation would be the single greatest revelation in the whole of human history.

It is here that I return to Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”. With so many people investigating, studying and discussing far-reaching concepts such as a hidden evolutionary history, ancient astronauts, advanced genetic engineering, free energy, hyper-technology and the possibility of having to rethink all we know and believe, would it not be prudent for the mainstream perception bureau (the mainstream media) to have a handle on how this information is disseminated?

“Prometheus” could serve as a perfect vehicle for such a task. Like much science fiction, it can be referred to as the source of such wild speculation. If it is an attempt to expose a greater truth, it can just as easily be dismissed as another example of “tapping into the zeitgeist”. If it fails at the box office, it will be largely forgotten.

As always I occupy the middle ground and try to remain as sensible as I can with regard to such issues. It is important to remember that not every film is a tool of a darker mechanism. The PR agenda of many a Hollywood production is simply to sell a slew of new merchandise, or recruit a certain skill set in society, dose-up our personal or national pride, or to just mindlessly distract us with frivolous social mind-sets for a few hours. I’m not excusing this, but it is what it is.

Never the less, history also shows us that not everything is as black and white as it always appears... that sometimes, certain agendas (or even certain truths) can and will be hidden in plain sight. What greater secret could there be to hide, than IF it turned out that great swathes of accepted human history were a big fat lie? Is “Prometheus” playing a minor part in this? We’ll just have to wait and see!

Prometheus is released worldwide in early June 2012.

It certainly looks to me like some film directors (and other artists) are authorised (or allowed) to expose aspects of control system techniques/agendas. For example, Kubrick, Cameron, Carpenter, Stone, and Scott. I think the aim of the control system is not to rule us by force, but rather to get us to consent to their rule. I think, in their dealings with humanity, they are bound by certain universal laws, requiring informed consent. These beings think like lawyers, though. So they care only about the letter of law, not its spirit. They have to tell us what they're doing, but they can do it in a deliberately misleading way and always their truths are mixed with lies. Or they will disclose fact, but label it fiction. So films and TV shows are often brimming with important revelations, but also disinfo and misdirection.

As if things needed to be more confusing than they already are, one has to deal with layers of disinfo. There's the mainstream narratives, or course. But if you see through that layer, there's the "alternative mainstream". We'd be pretty naive if we didn't assume that the control system has inserted false narratives into that knowledge base. Sure enough they have. Alternative false narratives have some common features, such as:
1. They spread through repetition instead of independent verification. There is usually a single, recent and questionable source that everyone else relies on. Nevertheless, they are accepted and repeated by everybody who is anybody.
2. They concern key areas of knowledge that, if effectively pursued, would actually threaten the control system. The false narrative prevents such investigation because we tend to stop asking questions when we think we know the answers.
3. The false narratives are dead ends. They don't reveal solutions, and tend to be disempowering. Real answers lead to deeper questions, and these don't.

I've identified a few "alternative mainstream" false narratives. One is the alien intervention narrative. Astrotheology is another. The 2012 phenomena is one also. It would be a big mistake to simply dismiss any of these in my opinion. Multilayered disinfo is a sure sign of "something to see here!"

Many thanks for your thoughts.
You're totally right. The media is all about engineered consent. The more that people unwittingly believe, the more those in control gain strength from it.

With regard to the alternative media, I agree totally. 9/11 is another good example of this. There appears to be something far deeper than a simple 'inside job' narrative, involving explosive, thermite, mini-nukes, etc. The 'mainstream' alternative community will condemn you (equally as much as those accepting the official story), if you even mention the possibility of no-planes, the use of exotic weapons, etc...

As with all things, there is no easy to find, ultimate source of truth. Everyday is a learning curve, a journey that I personally find myself travelling continually.

I would be very interested in your views on the alien intervention narrative, what you think may be closer to a possible truth, some sources of information you could point me to, reading material, etc., as I sit on the middle ground with this one!

Hope you'll get back to me.
All the best!

Hi again.
I'm still far from sure what to make of the alien intervention narrative. The behavior of the ETs (or whatever they are) is too consistant with that of the control system for the two to be unrelated. I think they are aspects of the same vibrational signature. If that's the case, then the mainstream narrative is important because it tells us what the entities themselves want people to believe. The "Ancient Aliens" TV series is a perfect example. This will be their optimum narrative, the one that most benefits their agenda. As with most mainstream narratives, it will be shameless propaganda with a large portion of bullshit thrown in.
Alternative false narratives are a little different. Their function is mainly to distract and misdirect, like a stage-magician. For example, the theory of astrotheology concentrates on real and fabricated similarities between book-based montheism and polytheistic paganism, but it's the differences between them that tell the true story.

Something I notice is conspicuously missing from the discussion of ETs is magick and the occult. More particularly the subject of communication with nonphysical beings. It's all the more odd when you consider the strong link between ETs and channelling within the new age. Our world is populated by many nonphysical entities and intelligences. Certain classes of spirits have access to hidden knowledge, and the branch of magick called evocation deals with techniques for summoning and controlling them. It is necessary to control them because they lie. Even when they are constrained to tell the truth, they will attempt to mislead. Your questions can leave no room for ambiguity, and that's harder than it sounds. They will also try to establish a relationship of dependence with humans.
I was never attracted to that branch of magick, myself. It decided it was too dangerous and troublesome. Besides, people have been talking to these entities for thousands of years and I don't see the benefit.
My best guess is, the ETs are not physical beings. Their natural abode would be the astral plane, which is like the dream-state, only more general. (What Icke calls "the 4th dimention") Within that plane of existence, chronological time has no meaning, and one can travel at the speed of thought. It's a very confusing place for the literal-minded.
I don't think they came here in ships. Those physical UFOs probably belong to the shaddow government, who may well have learned how to build them from the ETs.
I think the "elite" worship the entities, who give them knowledge and power in exchange for energetic sacrifices. They also allow their bodies to be used by them.
These same entities are behind those books allegedly written by "God". They are very knowledgable, clever and manipulative. We shouldn't underestimate them.
On the other hand, it's clear we have something they want, and don't have. They need us to consent to their rule, which means they have no authority over us. The Gnosics said that we are from the Pleroma. We are direct emmanations of the source. But the Archons (which means "rulers") are not. They are artificial creations without spiritual awareness, something like the Agents in "The Matrix". They also seem very interested in physicality, although it is not their home. I think there's something special about physicality in a spiritual sense. All this talk about ascending to the 4th or 5th dimention comes from the ETs themselves, via channellers. I think it's a lie.

I probably can't suggest any materials on ETs specifically that you haven't seen already. I think John Lash (metahistory.org) comes close to the truth from a Gnostic angle. I wouldn't trust anything from "inside sources" or channellers. I'd still listen though, because they'll tell you what they want you to think, and you can infer a lot from that. Plus, there is always some truth mixed in and sometimes intuition can identify it.

Thanks so much for getting back to me.
I think I get where you're coming from. I'm am still (sometimes) one of those literal minded folk (very pragmatic) that looks for evidence based answers, but I am certainly open minded enough to see that there is a bigger, less tangible picture.

I suspect that much of the ET/UFO phenomenon falls in the domain of MILABs, PGLFs and terrestrial black technology... the implications of this alone are mind boggling! Yet there are one or two corners of the subject that I'm convinced are something else... what, I'm not sure though.

The concept of beings on another level, energy, etc., is totally plausible when you begin to understand the implications of our own physicality/existance.

I will check out John Lash as I'm fascinated by Gnosticism... even though I only have a cursory understanding!!
Thanks again for taking the time to give me some avenues of research.

Namaste!

WOW. The comments here are really very good. 13, you seem to get hidden veil that is cast upon us to misguide and confuse mankind.

"The Real Illuminati Agenda"

"The luciferian illuminati agenda is not just to create a world society controlled by fascism, communism, capitalism, socialism, and every other “ism” all rolled up into one. Their ultimate desire is for humanity to cling to this illusory 3D existence.

We are naive children being hammered with a hefty dose of reverse psychology. By threatening to take away our rights, our physical health, our material wealth and our spiritual freedom, we react and scream bloody murder. No way can you do this to me … to us! We are full of indignation. We want to keep our health, our wealth, our comfort, our guns … and the freedom to move about at will. This is how we succumb to the great liar of the universe, and yet all the while we thought we were doing a good and godly thing. Not realizing for an illusory moment that our 3 dimensional experience, which we call our LIFE, is the great illusion, and the UNIVERSE itself is completely NON-EXISTENT.

Consider this. Those exposing the luciferian illuminati agenda are christians, jews, other religious zealots, ex-CIA sex slaves, New Age spiritualists, scientists, movie makers and the like. The real culprit in all this … the luciferian mindset. They don’t point the finger because they don’t recognize the direct involvement of these THINKING ENTITIES in manipulating the whole 3D agenda experience. If this were to be recognized and research was done into the dark mysteries of Babylon, the realization would soon point to themselves and their misled belief systems." continued...

and...here is one of the main ways the Elites use reverse psychology...it's called...

"AirFrame Shock Testing"! (A method of testing...people to see what they will accept…this is fact…truth)

In the 1940’s the aviation industry inadvertently provided a breakthrough in human engineering (control of the cattle). A “shockwave” would be fired into an airframe of an aircraft. The recoil and vibrations were then recorded.

It was discovered that by “shocking” one part of the airframe you could determine the overall condition of the rest of the aircraft by measuring the recoil or “tremors” it gave off.

The importance of this discovery was paramount to the illuminati because they could never DEFINITIVELY MEASURE the DOCILNESS of their stock of cattle, sheep, jelly-fish and celery.

By “shocking” something in society the illuminati (elite) was now able to accurately calculate:
A) the docilness of the public
B) the point of critical mass

The method of shocking the public was devilishly clever:
Find something the public instinctively believes is “WRONG” and instantly make it “RIGHT”.

A simple example would to tell people poison is good for them, then measure their reaction to this revelation that is the exact opposite of what they know is “right”.

To measure the ‘shocking’ revelation (poison is good for you) you need to study the possible reactions:
1) disbelief
2) apathy
3) belief

This data is then input into complex Gamma Knife Computers that can then determine – with optimum precision – the collective unconsciousness of the masses of cattle and celery.

A deductive algorithm is then created that will suggest future ‘shocks’ that will expedite a permanent slave mentality among the celery.

Simply put: this super computer is working to transform the celery into a gaggle of mindless slaves.

Shock testing is conducted around the sheeple without. Only the brightest of Goy intellects have figured it out…

Ask yourself:
- Why do you pay a cable company to watch advertisements?
- Why do you pay a movie theater to watch advertisements before the film begins?
- Why do you accept the upside down stars on the Republican Party’s logo?
- Why do you accept the backwards U.S Flags on the uniforms of the army soldiers?
- Why do you pay income tax and get nothing in return?

These things may seem petty and insignificant, but if you think back to the first time you paid for cable and watched a commercial – or the first time you sat through a commercial before a movie came on – or the feeling you got when you first saw a backwards flag on a U.S soldier…
…or the feeling you get when you pay income tax – or the feeling you get when you see the Republican logo…
That feeling is exactly what the illuminati are measuring when they ‘shock’ you.

..so what is your reaction?

4) disbelief
5) apathy
6) belief

The only way to measure docilness is to create a shocking scenario and see if the people believe it or are apathetic to it.

…invisible god anyone???

- if backwards flags don’t shock you
- if commercials before movies don’t shock you
- if upside down stars on Party logos doesn’t shock you
- if a tax that pays for nothing doesn’t shock you
- If paying a monthly bill to watch commercials doesn’t shock you….

Then you have PROVEN that you are mindless and DOCILE.

Anyone who does not respond with outrage to shocking things is DOCILE BOVINE and therefore no longer a human being!

Sorry for so many comments, hope you don't mind. I know this not my blog but the information seemed relevant to the topic which I truly enjoy researching. Here are some direct quotes by the IlluminatiMatrix explaining UFO & Aliens...

"ALIEN = A LION = AL-ION = the Electrified ION"

"There’s no such thing as time and space. Our own 3 dimensional bodies are not real. Why then, this insistent belief that there are alien life forms who have existed for millions of years? The answer, quite simply, is to, once and for all, convince us that the 3 dimensional reality of TIME and SPACE is a valid concept. It is difficult to break free of the hypnotic state that keeps us believing everything we see is real. We have our 5 senses to convince us everything is real because we can feel, taste, touch, hear and see it.

When we consider our galaxy so vast that it takes hundreds and thousands of light years for distant starlight to reach us, it is very hard to believe that space is an illusion. UFO’s and their little pilots are a manifestation of deception. Yes, they do exist in this 3 dimensional experience, but they are not what they tell us they are – which is life from other planets. To believe that, then you must believe space is real, and therefore, time is real.

UFO’s and the greys are conjured up to deceive. They have told us they can take us on a long journey. Why do we assume they’re speaking truthfully?

So how do we know these are luciferian egregore conjured up thought forms? Simply because all 3 dimensional illusory forms are manifest as a result of the egregore group of Thinking Entities exercise the combining of shape/sound and colour. This is the work of the luciferian Mindset. The universe and everything in it is created by this luciferian Mind, the Mind that said “LET THERE BE LIGHT”. This includes the UFO/GREY phenomena.

Believing that the UFO events are orchestrated by a life form, on a far away planet, in some distant galaxy, may be fine. Except for one thing. This perpetuates the myth that poses a real danger to grasping Reality. If these are just alien life forms from another planet who present themselves as the greys and reptilian bloodlines then perhaps there’s a chance they’re not cruelly seeking our enslavement and submission to their agenda. In other words, maybe they’ll play nice. However, this is not the case. These are much more dangerous than a lifeform from another planet. These entities are creatures straight from the Mind of the luciferian light bearing group of Thinkers. The only desire of this egregore Mind is to destroy many of us, (under the pretext of the Judgment of God cleansing the earth), and to enslave the rest of us within the Trance state, which forms this 3 dimensional life experience. This is nothing more than the establishment of the New World Order, the Kingdom of God on Earth, and the New Age of Enlightenment. It should be noted that the new age movement is a strong promoter of the alien life from other planets concept." - IM

Many thanks for your thoughts DKS888.
Breaking through the illusion is a tough one for people (including myself sometimes) to accept. I know that 'accepted' current perceptions of our existence are false ones, yet I struggle to break the conditioning of "nothing more than a meat cage". Perhaps with time....
You're right about the ET aspect. I suspect the very vast majority of encounters and sightings can be traced back to the global agenda players, but not all. There are areas that I wouldn't even begin to theorise about. Maybe some sort of multi/extra dimensionality, but beyond that I daren't speculate.
Don't worry about commenting too much!
